Welcome to the PTFA!
By joining the school you automatically become members of the PTFA (Parents, Teachers and Friends Association). Your committee is run by an enthusiastic group of parents who want the best for our children and our school.
The PTFA exists to support the school, raising funds to enhance our children's school experience, as well as providing fun social occasions for the children, parents, staff and the wider community to enjoy. In the past we have run a number of fantastic events, including Christmas and Easter fayres, film nights, mufti days, discos and book sales raising funds for those extras at school! This year in particular, the PTFA is involved with the Magna Carta 800 commemorations, offering the PTFA unique opportunities to celebrate this anniversary with our local community, whilst raising money for our school.
If you are interested in joining or simply helping out the PTFA, please feel free to talk to one of the Committee members (details below). We are a friendly bunch and would welcome an extra pair of hands. Apart from our Annual General Meeting, we currently meet on an ad hoc basis, as and when events need planning. Our ad hoc meetings are informal and are held at the local pub, giving new members the chance to meet other parents and make new friends in a social setting, whilst sharing new and inspiring ideas.
Whether you can offer an hour or two helping out at an event, are able to promote our activities, bake cakes or gather raffle prizes for example, all help is valued. As parents ourselves, we know how hectic life can be, so whether you can help a little or a lot, it is all appreciated.
We have a Facebook page www.facebook.com/CurryMalletPrimarySchool, which allows us to share news about our fund raising efforts but also allows you to contact us with any ideas you may have. Alternatively, you can email us at email@example.com.
