2nd March Long Sutton Cross Country

Ready , steady, go! The year 3/4 girls race begins, it is a fast start. All the girls ran non stop and did really well! (Martha 31, Aoife 45, Grace 48 and Milly 53) Now it was the year 3/4 boys race, they all started really well remembering to save lots of their energy for the sprint finish. Half way through the race Joe's boot came off, not worrying about his shoe he kept on going to the end. All sprinting to the finish for a dramatic end they had no breath left as they collected their card. (James 1, Sam 5, Charlie 6, Luke 11,Lewis 17 and Joe 28) With only two runners from our school running in both the year 5/6 girls  and boys race, they all did extrodinarily well. Harry came sprinting to the  finish in 2nd place but unfortunatly for the 1st place runner he fell dramatically and Harry breathlessly sprinted to the finish line. (Milly 12, Poppy 17, Harry 1 and Charlie 15) Well done everybody.

Brilliant Badminton!

Well done to the 4 boys who participated with enthusiasm in the badminton tournament at Huish. The boys all played really well and each won a few matches.

'It was fun, sadly we did not get through to the next round but we all played well and won lots of matches. I beat three people from different schools, there was this one game where I kept hitting it in to space and they kept on just hitting it back. I hit it to the back and they hit it and then I hit the shuttle to the front and they missed. It was great fun!' Lewis

Golden Mile

Last year you ran over 1400 miles as a school, which is AMAZING! Now this year lets see if we can beat it!

The golden mile data has now been inputted for last half term and here are the class results. Well done to all the children who have been running, let's keep this up even in the cold weather!

Congratulations to all the cross country runners who all ran superbly at the Long Sutton cross country. There were new faces which was brilliant to see as well as some fantastic results but most importantly enjoyment from everyone taking part. A huge well done to all 7of the year 3/4 boys team who finished first  (results included James 1st and Sam 3rd!) and the 4 year 5/6 boys who as a team finished 3rd! (Harry 4th and a PB from Nathan 14th) It was lovely to see so many year 3/4 girls running as well as the committed year 5/6 girls! Well done every body.

Curry Mallet Victory

On the 27th September 2016 Curry Mallet had a football match against Middlezoy and Othery Primary school. Two matches were played and the results were very successful seeing as the score was three nil in both matches.

The match was close as Middlezy and Othery were close to scoring and so were Curry Mallet. Morgan tackled and cleared, Jem passed the ball to Charlie W who scored his third goal. Then Charlie H who was in goal swapped with Charlie W at half time. In the second half Curry Mallet did alot of defending with good tackles from Mackauley, Morgan, Luke and Jem. Middlezoy and Othery had a free kick and Charlie made an amazing save. Curry Mallet won and it was very fun.
