Cricket Day at Curry Rivel
Congratulations to the cricket team who reached the final at the festival at Curry Rivel. They all played extremely well but were beaten in the final by King Ina. I know they were disappointed but I am very proud of them all and they need to celebrate the fact that they came second out of 13 teams. Along with King Ina they go on to represent Huish CLP at the area festival at Chard cricket club on June 9th.

Golden Mile School Challenge
Area Cross Country
A massive well done to the five boys who made it into the area cross country. In what was a tricky course and against a strong field the boys all had excellent results. James 9th, Sam 14th, Charlie 31st and Luke 64th and in the year 5/6 race Harry finished 19th. As part of the Huish and Langport team, both the boys 3/4 team and 5/6 team finished 3rd. A great acheivement!
Small Schools Football and Netball Tournament
In both tournaments there were tough opposition, and both the netball team and football team worked well together to be competitive in each game scoring nets and goals. Most importantly they enjoyed themselves!
Tag Rugby Tournament
Both teams battled hard against some tough opposition and played really well. Further details to follow...

2nd March Long Sutton Cross Country
Ready , steady, go! The year 3/4 girls race begins, it is a fast start. All the girls ran non stop and did really well! (Martha 31, Aoife 45, Grace 48 and Milly 53) Now it was the year 3/4 boys race, they all started really well remembering to save lots of their energy for the sprint finish. Half way through the race Joe's boot came off, not worrying about his shoe he kept on going to the end. All sprinting to the finish for a dramatic end they had no breath left as they collected their card. (James 1, Sam 5, Charlie 6, Luke 11,Lewis 17 and Joe 28) With only two runners from our school running in both the year 5/6 girls and boys race, they all did extrodinarily well. Harry came sprinting to the finish in 2nd place but unfortunatly for the 1st place runner he fell dramatically and Harry breathlessly sprinted to the finish line. (Milly 12, Poppy 17, Harry 1 and Charlie 15) Well done everybody.
