Our Governors
The Governors of the school meet regularly throughout the year and are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the school.
Governors and staff work closely together to provide the pupils with the very best possible start to their education. The basic ethos of our school is as a caring and friendly environment with strong links to our local community. Our most recent Ofsted inspection (March 2014) stated that the care, guidance and support of pupils is outstanding.
The Governing Body, dedicated staff and supportive parents work together to ensure that the school’s high standards are maintained and that each child fulfils their potential whilst at the school, ensuring that they are well equipped to cope with the next stage of their education.

I've been on the governing board since 2022, having joined as a Parent Governor. As a parent at the school, I felt it was important to give something back. I'm really passionate about being part of the team that sets the vision, ethos and strategic direction of the school.
I contribute to the effective governance and success of the school using my background in project management and strategic planning.I have a critically challenging mind and thrive in circumstances which allow for collaboration and creativity.
I am the Health & Safety Champion for the Governing Board regularly reviewing and reporting back to the other Governors. I have knowledge of, and skills in, health & safety and premises management which I apply to the role.I am also able to provide financial knowledge applicable to an organisation of this size, using my background in project management.I am used to, through the course of my work, challenging senior leaders and is something I'm confident in doing when required.
I'm passionate about working with the school to provide a stimulating, safe and happy environment where all children can develop their full potential.

I moved to this beautiful area in 2019 to enjoy my retirement. I have spent my working life in education both as a classroom teacher and senior manager in the secondary sector. I am looking forward to my role as a governor and offering my experience and expertise to the Curry Mallet team and working together to provide our children with the best education possible.

I'm a mum of two girls who have already been through their primary phase of education and are now in Secondary and College respectively.I am the Office Manager here at Curry Mallet Primary School. I came to the school eight years ago having never worked in education, but always had an interest in how the back-office functions support schools. My skills in Retail Management and the Civil Service have helped me understand the complexities of running a school and supporting school leaders and teachers to provide the best educational experiences to our pupils through offering them an enriched curriculum and a happy, caring environment.

Hi, I'm Rob and have recently become a parent governor at the school. I live in the village with my wife Sarah and our 3 children, 2 boys, who are in year 3 and reception respectively and our daughter who attended the school until 2023 but has since moved on to secondary education at Huish.Having been coming to the school since 2015 and found it to be the most wonderful place for our children to grow, I was delighted to get the opportunity to give back to the school that has given our children such a fantastic start to their education.I have spent most of my career working in a variety of roles within the financial sector and my aim is to bring the skills and knowledge I have obtained during this time to my role as parent governor.
